The XXI century has opened new opportunities for physicists interested in complex systems. Since the appearance of seminal papers about Complex networks, several physicists have moved to research fields studying biological, social and artificial systems, frequently involving interdisciplinary collaborations. Also, physicists have shown themselves to be extremely useful working in data analytics for both industry and governmental offices, or getting involved in social or environmental causes. This group is devoted to offering opportunities to physicists that intend to get involved either in research or practical problems using concepts and analytical methodologies from complexity.

Eng: The articulation of knowledge, expertise, and experiences from different social actors is essential for the identification of alternatives and solutions for the management of natural heritage, its sustainable use, and equitable exploitation. In this intergroup we focus on wetland and coastal socio-ecological systems, in Colombia and beyond, but invite those with diverse backgrounds, perspectives and expertise, to join.
